For the Love of Linen

“Linen is revered for its relaxed beauty, casual sophistication, organic texture and unique inherent characteristics. It wrinkles, creases and relaxes overtime. Perfect for those who
appreciate a relaxed wabi sabi aesthetic”

It always amazes me when a newly woven piece of linen comes off the loom. The stiffness of woven flax and all other bast fibers. Something so ridged to start with, can become something that is so treasured to be passed down for generations.

This is a newly woven linen cloth standing on its own.

Off the Loom

Off the loom and ready for fringing then maybe some pigment paint to give it some color. This will be a tough decision on what style of fringe to use. Organic Bast Fiber Scarf. Imported Organic Hungarian Linen & Imported Organic Wild Himalayan Nettle Fiber.

Frequent Flyer Miles

I think that I should get frequent flyer mile for my imported flax from Egypt that I just received today. The route. From the Flax Fields in Egypt then, CAIRO EG, DUBAI AE, SOMMA LOMBARDO IT, MEMPHIS, TN, SAN ANTONIO, TX, KERRVILLE, TX, finally LLANO, TX.

This is a total of 5 kilo of different stages of flax. I will be deciding what type of flax to order in the future.

Spring Market

I just received my first delivery of Imported Egyptian Linen Yarn this morning. Just in time for the spring market.
